Travel and Airline Rewards Credit Cards
Most of us enjoy travel but can be put off by the expense. A great way to offset the cost of your next vacation is with a travel rewards credit card. These work like other rewards credit cards except the rewards are geared toward travel services. Your ordinary day-to-day purchases can earn miles to be used toward a free flight and points that can be redeemed for hotel stays, car rentals, attractions, and other travel services. These can be great deals and a painless way to offset the cost of your next vacation or business trip.
Three types of travel cards are very popular today. Frequent flyer cards are usually tied to a specific airline. In these programs you acquire miles that can be used for a free flight. Air Miles credit cards allow you to earn frequent flyer miles but also points that can be redeemed for other travel services like hotel stays. These are arguably the most flexible of the three types of travel credit card. Then there are Travel Reward Credit Cards which tend to gear rewards toward hotel stays buy some cards may include other benefits as well.

Choosing a Travel Rewards Credit Card
Rule #1 is to pay attention to the terms and conditions of any travel or airline rewards credit card you are considering applying for and ask the right questions. Understanding the rules is key to meeting your travel goals and avoiding disappointment. Will miles or points ever expire? Are there low limits on the number of miles or points that can be earned annually? How many miles do you earn per dollar spent? Are there route restrictions or blackout dates that may prevent you from getting the trip you want? How many miles or points are required to get a free flight or hotel stay? These are some important items to understand before you commit to a travel credit card. Feel free to visit our learning center for more information on travel and airline credit cards.
